Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

Sunday was one of the most exciting, entertaining, and rewarding days in the history of In Tune! 41 Performers from ages 6 to 60 participated in the event displaying their talents for a sold out crowd! People came from as far away as Altoona to help support the CF Foundation and Nick and Hayden's Heroes reach a record high contribution level! As of this moment, we have more than doubled last years total of $4000. Everything has not been accounted for at this time, yet we are still coming in with a strong level of $9500 plus! This is fantastic!

As you well know, a function as large as this one takes a tremendous amount of work. There would be no possible way that In Tune would be able to have this function if it wasn't for the support and hard work of many dedicated individuals. First I'd like to thank all of the teachers that participated it the event.

Matt Diesel - Matt Derby - Julie Perrotte - Heather Styer - Brad Lebbaken - Jean Rowles

Their dedication to their art and commitment to excellence was evident through their own performances as well as the performances of the students they teach.

It's so encouraging to see a great display of talent right in our own backyard! Thank you to all of the performers!

Thank you again for everything,

Ryan

Nick and Hayden's Heroes Update

I am overwhelmed and humbled by the amount of support we have received in the past 2 months for our Cystic Fibrosis Fundraising Event. Due to the support of parents, teachers, students, local businesses, friends, and family, we are well on our way to our goal of $10,000!

For those of you that have been living in a cave for the past 2 months, our annual fundraising event, "Tunes For a Cure", will be held on November 4th at the Hampton Community Center from 1pm till 5pm. The theme of this event is "An Afternoon at the Oscars" where many talented performers will be displaying their talents. From solos, to barbershop quartets to ensembles, this is certainly an event you don't want to miss! We also have awesome Chinese and silent auctions, 50/50 drawing for some incredible prizes, and gourmet desserts. The cost of this event is $15 per person or $100 per table of 8. This year should be a sell out, so I urge anyone interested in acquiring a full table to grab one right away. We only have a total of 28 tables and more than half are sold! (This does not include the large amount of single ticket sales)

As far as the facility goes, The Hampton Community Center is a beautifully updated banquet room with a great sound system. I have personally checked out the sound system, and it is more than adequate for the solos and duets as well as pianists. It has 2 wireless mics and two wired mics as well as a built in CD player to accommodate background vocals for Karaoke Cd's or background accompaniment. For bands, however, I would bring your own equipment for balance issues as this is a ceiling mounted speaker system.

Please feel free to email us at intune1@nauticom.net for further information and again thank you for your support in making a difference in the lives of these children.
